Greetings from Xavier Institute of Polytechnic and Technology

Please be informed that the last date for filling up the online form for appearing in the Competitive Entrance Examination has been extended till 25/07/2020. Those who could not fill the same must not miss this opportunity.

Xavier Institute of Polytechnic and Technology (XIPT) was established in 2010 at Namkum, Ranchi by the Ranchi Jesuit Society. The same society manages other renowned educational institutions in the state - Xavier Institute of Social Service, St. Xavier's College, St. Xavier's School, St. John's School etc.

XIPT offers Diploma in Engineering in the following courses:

1. Mechanical Engineering - 120 Seats

2. Electrical and Electronics Engineering - 120 Seats

3. Electronics and Communication Engineering - 60 Seats

All the above courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Jharkhand University of Technology, Jharkhand.

The candidates, who wish to take admission in the above said courses have to appear in the Entrance Examination conducted by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Government of Jharkhand.

However, the candidates without having appeared in the said Competitive Entrance Examination may also take admission through SPOT ADMISSION against vacant seats.

For 2020-2021, J.C.E.C.E.B. has already announced the dates for filling up the Online Application Form, which has been extended till 25/07/2020.

J.C.E.C.E.B. has two categories of admission schemes for Diploma in Engineering:

(1) 3-Year Program - For admission in First Year. This is for 10th Board pass out candidates.

(2) 2-Year Program (Lateral Entry) - For admission in Second Year. The eligibility criteria for this scheme is Intermediate with PCM or vocational subjects/ITI
